Protect Your Eyes From Wrinkles

I have a friend that has had lashes in the past but decided that she likes to rub her eyes.  I used to rub my eyes a lot, too, so I understand her concerns. Having allergies, rubbing the eyes is a common thing to do. But now that I am in my 50's I think a lot about what I do to my skin. I want to keep my skin as wrinkle-resistant as I can!

Do you know that rubbing your eyes is one of the BEST ways
to insure wrinkles around your eyes!

YIKES!

I think wrinkles look a lot better on Shar Pei puppies
than they do around my eyes!!

Don't you agree?

When you have eye lash extensions you become aware of NOT rubbing your eyes.  You see, the more you rub your eyes, the more lashes you lose, and you don't want that!!

So save the skin around your beautiful eyes and have lash extensions, it helps remind you NOT to rub your eyes!

Eyelash Extensions Care Tips - Dealing with Water

Eyelash Extensions Care Tips - Dealing with Water

Although you can get your eyelashes wet with no problems at all, water can put pressures on the lashes and make them tangle or cross over. This makes them easier to come loose. You can take precautions to keep them beautiful after each time they get wet and therefore keep them long and beautiful longer.

When you go swimming, for example, be sure to take along your mascara brush so you can brush you eyelashes after getting out of the water. That way your lashes will dry perfectly instead of becoming tangled.

This is also a good thing to do when you get out of the shower. Simply dab your eyes dry with a soft towel and then brush them with your mascara brush.

Another Eyelash Extensions Benefit!

Recently I was fitted for a contact for mono vision. Naturally, my eye got teary. It was such a relief to be able to focus my mind solely on the contact and what the doctor was doing and saying without being concerned at all about black mascara streaks running down my face!

I thought to myself, “Here’s another benefit of eyelash extensions!” Now, I realize that worrying about smudged mascara is rather vain, and that a doctor’s office is not a place for vanity, but wait, there’s a practical side, too!

If you’ve ever had streaking mascara and irritated eyes. You know that the chemical components in mascara can sting. Well, no stinging with eyelash extensions! The tears stimulated by the contact fitting were pure and clean and actually felt comforting to my eye!

So there you have it – another benefit of eyelash extensions is that you can be free of chemically induced pain from tears polluted with mascara when you visit the eye doctor. And the added bonus is that you can still look beautiful as well!

Eyelash Extensions - Basic Information

Our eyelashes are like any other hairs on our bodies – they grow, fall out, and regenerate. Each lash lives around 60 -90 days before it falls out and a new one grows in to replace it immediately. As this happens, you need to touch up your eyelash extensions in order to keep you look consistently full and long. Because the natural eyelashes all have different cycles (they don’t all fall out at the same time and regenerate on the same day), it is recommended to get a fill-in about every 2 -3 weeks, but this varies from person to person.
How it works is that you simply lie back and I will first put a protective cover over your eyes and to hold the bottom lashes out of the way. Then I will take one eyelash extension at a time, put a tiny amount of glue on the end, and apply it to one of your natural lashes. I will repeat this process until all of your lashes have extensions on them. Then I brush your new lashes and take off the protective guard.
Sometimes people may feel a slight sting from the glue. This isn’t dangerous at all (after all, this is the same glue that doctors use to put back your insides after surgery!), but it can be slightly irritating. If this happens to you, I can put drops in your eyes and you are immediately relieved.
It is so much fun to see a client get her first set of new eyelashes because every time when she gets off the table and looks in the mirror, she is so amazed by what she sees! I love to facilitate this kind of new discovery and to see a woman feeling so confident about her look. It’s not so dramatic that people will stare at you and ask you what the heck you’ve done, but it is subtly dramatic so people will compliment you but not know exactly why you look so great.
After you get your new set of eyelash extensions, you do not need to use mascara. Your make-up time will literally be cut in half! Just put on your foundation, a little lipstick and you are ready to go out. How cool is that?
Care for the eyelash extensions is basically no care at all. Just don’t use baby oil to remove eye shadow and for best results, remove your make-up with a Q-tip instead of a cotton ball in order to keep little pieces of cotton fuzz out of the lashes.
Showering, swimming, crying, everything is fine for your lashes. Just try not to rub your eyes. If they itch, address the itch carefully with a finger nail.

Introduction to Lori's Lovely Lashes

Hi, I’m Lori Lloyd, eyelash technician, located in East Central Indiana. I got started doing eyelash extensions after trying Latise for a while before I discovered the ease and satisfaction of extensions! After getting my own set of eyelash extensions, I was totally hooked and I knew I wanted to share this satisfaction with others. I trained under Jerry's Girl and have been doing extensions myself ever since. I am so pleased with the relationships I have with my clients and being able to contribute to their beauty and self-confidence.
When you come to me, I will attach individual eyelash hairs to each of your own natural eyelashes with surgical glue. This process takes about one hour to get a new set and about 45 minutes for fill-ins thereafter. You can get long, dramatic lashes or shorter, more subtle lashes. Either way, the result is fuller, longer, thicker and curlier eyelashes.
